I was one of the first video game sprite rippers if not the first and have a collection of upwards of 2000 animated sprite rip gifs ripped without the usage of modern sprite ripping utilities (e.g. Neorage X's Shots Factory).

I am a fairly experienced first person perspective PC game player model skinner and have been involved in the Quake and Quake 2 scene for player plug-in model conversions and custom skins.

I am currently still the parser and sprite ripper/editer for the most characters and stages (of good quality at the very least) for Elecbyte's fighting game engine, M.U.G.E.N.

After leaving the public M.U.G.E.N. scene, I was involved in a few manga translation projects such as Love Hina.

I stopped releasing my work to the public for several reasons, some of which include the constant theft and plagiarising of every piece of work I made public over the three years my website was up.

Among few comments of encouragement, I received either total ignorance or excessive abuse for voicing my disapproval of the theft of my work, which included directly lifting code, graphics and (this one being quite popular) changing or omitting my name from my work.

As a result, I am not very well known or respected, despite the fact that a great deal of what appears in M.U.G.E.N. work released by others today is still a direct result of my public and private work.

There were ludicrous claims that I was the sole source of selling M.U.G.E.N. in various countries such as China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Spain, Brazil and Singapore. These claims are untrue, absurd and obviously impossible.

After all that has happened, I feel better having left the public scene as I felt (and still feel) only losses by releasing my work to the public.

I did not release my work to be praised, but rather to be respected for my talents, to show people what I am capable of, and to give people something to enjoy. Of course, appreciation is very important in this line of work, where there is no income that shows people like what you do.

I do not believe that I deserved any of the insults, harassment or plagiarism that I suffered as a result of releasing my work for people to enjoy at my own expenses.

From my experience in providing people with free entertainment, I learned that being kind enough to do so encourages people to believe that they can take advantage of me as they have nothing to lose.

This especially applies to the internet, where there are no real laws. That is why I have decided to keep my work private, for the few people I know will at least be helpful to me or understand my motives and appreciate my work.
